Project Overview

Our management team delivered the end-to-end sale and international relocation of a high-speed 36,000 BPH Sidel CSD filling line from a leading UK beverage producer to the world's largest beverage manufacturer in Mexico. The project formed part of a wider facility upgrade programme at the UK site, with our scope covering meticulous pre-project planning, full mechanical and electrical dismantling, seaworthy packaging, international transport coordination and remote reinstallation support — including the procurement of line upgrades for the receiving facility.

This was not a straightforward equipment removal. The scale of the line, the international destination and the need to protect asset value throughout required precise execution at every stage.

Scope of Work

Strategic Planning & Asset Value Maximisation The project was planned meticulously as part of the client's wider facility upgrade. Our role began with a thorough assessment of the line and a clear strategy to ensure the client achieved maximum recovery value from the surplus asset — identifying the right buyer, managing the commercial process and structuring the removal to protect the equipment throughout.

Mechanical & Electrical Dismantling Our engineering team executed the full mechanical and electrical dismantling of the 36,000 BPH Sidel filling line. All components were carefully disconnected, catalogued and prepared for international transport, with particular attention paid to sensitive electrical systems, panel protection and the preservation of all components required for reassembly at the destination site.

Seaworthy Packaging & Export Preparation Given the international destination, all equipment was packaged to full seaworthy standards — engineered to withstand ocean transit and the environmental conditions associated with long-distance freight. Packaging was designed to protect the line's most critical and sensitive components throughout the journey from the UK to Mexico.

International Transport Coordination We coordinated the full logistics chain from the UK facility to the receiving site in Mexico, managing load sequencing, export documentation, freight coordination and delivery to the destination site in sequence with the reinstallation programme.

Remote Reinstallation Support & Line Upgrades Following delivery, our team provided remote technical support to the reinstallation team in Mexico — guiding the rebuild process and ensuring the line was reassembled correctly at the new site. As part of this scope we also managed the procurement of line upgrades required to bring the equipment to the specification needed for the receiving facility's production requirements.
